Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. The service

TJ Holdings proposes to research LEGO sets, present potential purchases for customer approval, source approved sets, store them, maintain an asset register and arrange resale when agreed. LEGO sets are physical collectibles; resale values can rise or fall and there is no guaranteed return.

2. Customer approval and ownership

Customers own the specific LEGO sets purchased on their behalf once purchased and allocated to their asset record. TJ Holdings holds those sets as custodian for sourcing, storage and agreed resale. Each customer receives a record identifying their sets and purchase costs. Exact payment, title-transfer and identification arrangements will be confirmed in the customer service agreement.

3. Buying, storage and condition

The first six months of storage are free. No recurring storage charge is currently proposed after that period. Customers receive an itemised record of their LEGO sets, quantities, purchase prices and condition. Storage conditions, insurance, responsibility for loss or damage, and arrangements if TJ Holdings ceases trading must be agreed before accepting customer money or stock.

4. Sales and authorisation

The customer and TJ Holdings should agree when a set may be listed or sold, minimum acceptable sale prices, approved sales channels, returns and the timing of payouts. Resale may take longer than expected and buyers may return items. [Define sale authorisation and payout timelines.]

5. Proposed fees

The proposed TJ Holdings fee is 10% of positive net profit on a completed sale, calculated as sale proceeds minus the original cost of goods and agreed direct selling costs. For example, £430 sale less £190 purchase less £43 agreed selling costs gives £197 profit before commission; the 10% fee is £19.70. No positive profit means no profit-based commission under this proposed formula. [Define all deductible costs, VAT treatment, refunds, storage charges, and whether losses offset other gains.]

6. Asset reports and newsletters

Customers are intended to receive an asset spreadsheet and monthly LEGO market updates. Spreadsheet valuations, if included, are estimates and not guaranteed resale prices. Newsletter marketing preferences should be managed separately from service communications.

7. Risks and responsibilities

LEGO collecting and resale involves market, liquidity, condition, counterfeit, damage, theft, platform and fee risks. Historical or illustrative examples are not promises of future outcomes. [Agree responsibility for each risk, liability limits and dispute resolution.]

8. Cancellation, termination and returns of stock

Customers may request return of their unsold LEGO sets. For voluntary withdrawal requests made during the first six months, no withdrawal fee is proposed. For voluntary withdrawal requests after six months, a proposed one-off withdrawal fee of 7% of the sets’ current market value applies, subject to applicable consumer law and the final signed agreement. Market value is estimated from recent comparable completed sales on Amazon UK where reliable sales data is available; if not, comparable completed sales on an alternative established marketplace such as eBay may be used. TJ Holdings will explain the valuation, provide a fee breakdown and disclose any return delivery charges before the customer confirms withdrawal. Statutory cancellation and other consumer rights, and remedies for breach by TJ Holdings, are not limited by this fee. This proposed fee must be reviewed for fairness and proportionality before it is offered to customers. The final agreement will specify return timescales and treatment of sets already listed or sold.

9. Contact and legal identity
